  • Abdine Lewis

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Abdine Lewis, affectionately know as Brother Abdine, is a dynamic and accomplished professional with a deep commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education. He holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the University of Cincinnati. Abdine's career is marked by significant achievements, especially in promoting STEM education among underrepresented communities. As the Founder and Executive Director of Black Boys in Tech (BBIT), he has pioneered the establishment of a STEM pipeline for African American boys and young men, overseeing the creation of age-specific programs and securing over $300k in funding since its establishment in 2022.

  • Asad Ikemba

    BOARD SECRETARY

    Asad is a current doctoral student of Educational Leadership Culture, and Curriculum at Miami University (Oxford). His areas of research explores African American male teaching abroad experiences in African and African Diasporic communities. Other research interests include international education, cultural literacy, language, and early childhood education. Asad works as a Program Associate at the Literacy Lab - Leading Men Fellowship, which places men of color ages(18-24) in pre-k classrooms as literacy tutors, while serving as an Adjunct Professor of Leadership Education at Cincinnati State College in the Department of Sciences and Humanities.

  • Kenny Glenn

    BOARD TREASURER

    Kenny Glenn is a student success strategist and the award-winning author of the educational book Question Everything: Advice for Students & Graduates. Mr. Kenny achieved his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Miami University, where he also set records in the long jump and became a 3-time national championships qualifier. By age 22, Kenny served as a School Board Member for his alma mater, Mt. Healthy City Schools. Today, in addition to being a professional speaker, he works as a Program Associate with the Leading Men Fellowship in Cincinnati. This group is sponsored by The Literacy Lab, which aims to improve Pre-K to 3rd-grade educational success and increase the number of male teachers of color.
